Verification

Verify a certificate

Any certificate RiskZero issues can be verified with us directly. Send us the details and we confirm the scope, status, and expiry date within one business day.

  1. 1

Take the details from the certificate

You need the organization name and the certificate number, which is printed on the certificate in the form RZ-27001-NNNNN. The scope statement and expiry date are useful too, especially if you were sent a copy.

  2. 2

    Send us a verification request

Use the contact form and choose "Certificate verification". Tell us which organization the certificate belongs to and include the details you have.

  3. 3

    We confirm in writing

Within one business day we tell you whether we issued the certificate and, if so, its scope, sites, dates, and current status. If it has been suspended or withdrawn, or we did not issue it, we say so plainly.

Why verify

A certificate is a claim. Verification is how you check it without having to trust the organization making the claim or the PDF they sent you. Certificates can be suspended or withdrawn, scopes can be narrower than a supplier implies, and copies of certificates circulate long after they expire.

Reporting misuse

If you find an organization claiming RiskZero certification that we cannot confirm, or using our mark outside its certified scope, please tell us through thecomplaints process. We investigate every report.
